10. Food Supply

As we all know that food is the basic need of human beings. Without having food, the life becomes difficult. To make the people of a nation healthy and work for a nation, proper and hygienic food supply is also equally important. If there is no proper food supply and production then it’s also no use of earning and to work for the development of a nation, the people of various fields become physically and mentally weak. Thus, a country cannot get employee to carry on the development though there are other sectors highly developed. So, for holistic development, people should be encouraged to produce sufficient and quality food and proper supply with all needed things to reach each and every part.

Even the world is becoming modern day by day, we can find many people dying in the starvation of proper food which is one of the worse signs of leading a country backward.

Hence, we can conclude that proper or hygienic food is the word of every individual to march a head.          

9. Market

We have known that producing goods, exporting goods, etc. are the sources of earning money. If the economic condition of the country is strong then it’s not a big thing to carry on development works. So, to increase the economy of the country, market is also one of the sectors.

If there is no good market for the produced goods then the produced goods will not have its value. Even the goods are valuable, the goods become useless because they cannot have their market. So, if the produced goods are given the proper market then obviously, they get their right value. Thus, the producers are also encouraged to produce more goods by applying new and scientific technology. There should be good market for the produced goods. Producing goods along with good markets are the source of earning more and these earnings can be utilized for more and sufficient products.

8. Industry

Raw materials are converted into sophisticated products by machines. This process is done in industry. So, industries are equally important for the development of a nation.

It produces different things which helps us to fulfill our needs. Such products can be exported to other countries as well. Many people get opportunities and can improve their life standard. Industries help to decrease import and increase export which further helps to earn foreign currency.

Even tourism industry plays an important role to improve the economic life of the country. People’s lifestyle is influenced by it. Many people are employed and even the people can learn many things from tourists. Developing and under developing countries do not have more number of industries (large scale industries). Thus, they are always compelled to import goods from other countries which is also the one way of loosing own currency. So, to move with the generation it is also necessary to have industries to produce goods.

7. Trade

The process of buying and selling is known as trade. It may be within a country or between countries. Many people get engaged in it. We import many goods from foreign countries. Similarly, goods produced in a country can be exported to other countries as well. This helps a country to earn foreign currency. Trade is absolutely necessary. It fulfills our necessities and helps to earn foreign currency. It is another way of earning. Even the government gets taxes from traders that help to increase the economy of the country.  It helps to make the goods available in every part. These days, transportation has made trade faster and easier. Goods produced in a place can be transported and sold in another place. Even trade helps to strengthen the diplomatic relation with one another or to one country to other countries. Trade has also helped a lot to earn a lot of foreign currency as remittance. Thus, we can say trade also has an important role in the development of a nation.

6. Drinking Water

No living things can survive without water. All human beings, animals, birds, plants, trees need water. Water is our life. We use water for various purposes like washing, cleaning, bathing, cooking and so on. Farmers use water to irrigate their fields. No crops, fruits, vegetables, etc. grow without water. Industries use water to produce different items. Electricity, too, is generated by using water.

As water is indispensable for life, we should drink only clean and pure water. It should be free from germs or bacteria. Polluted water cause many diseases. In most of the countries, people die of drinking dirty water. In most of the parts, there is no facility of pure drinking water and there is direct access of drinking water. So, people are compelled to drink foul water.

By understanding the value of water, we have to use it properly. The sources of water should be kept clean and conserved. People should be aware of the importance of safe and clean drinking water to remain healthy.

5. Electricity

Electricity is also one of the prerequisites for the development of a nation. In this generation, most of the appliances are run only with electricity which is directly or indirectly related in the development of a nation. It is useful in many ways. It gives us heat and light. It is used for domestic purposes like: cooking food, operating electrical appliances like: T.V., washing machine, refrigerator, fan, heater, rice-cooker, vacuum cleaner and so on. It is also used to run small to big machines in industries to produce different things. Even some of vehicles are run with electricity to go one place to another. So without electricity these things are totally useless. Many developmental work require different materials which are only possible by electricity. Without electricity, most of works get affected. Thus we can say it is also one of the factors for the development of a nation.

4. Communication

Communication is the means of transmitting news, views, opinion to the people.

It makes our contact easier, faster and cheaper. By the help of communication, we can easily know what is happening in every part of the world by sitting in a single room by the help of radio, T.V., computer, etc. We can talk to our parents, friends, relatives living hundred of miles far away from us by many means. We can watch many important events, great matches and many programmes live on T.V. wherever they take place.

Daily newspaper report daily news all round the country and the world. All these advanced means of the communication have made the world smaller. In absence of communication people suffer a lot. Due to development in communication sector, it is not necessary for us to go to particular place but we can easily contact there by different means and can fulfill our needs. So, communication also plays a vital role to develop a nation.

3. Transportation

The process of taking persons or goods from one place to another place for various purposes is known as transportation. It plays a key role for the development of a nation.

All kinds of developmental works depend the development of transport, for example the development of industry, education and construction of hospitals, bridges, etc. all need different kinds of materials like bricks, rods, cement and so on which are to be transported from different places. That’s why all kinds of development also depend on the development of transport. All the developed countries are well advances in transportation sector. It helps us to go one place to another or to bring needed goods from one place to another in short period of time.

The major problems in the development of transport are: lack of capital, lack of skilled manpower, lack of public awareness, adverse topography and so on. This is the era of science and technology. Day by day new inventions are taking place in the field of transport, which are making the world smaller and smaller.

2. Health

The word health is defined as the state of being physically and mentally fit. “Health is the greatest wealth.” Healthy persons are physically and mentally fit. They can do any kind of work properly. They can think well and contribute to the development of their own personality as well as to the development of a nation. A sound mind in a sound body is the motto of a happy life.

Healthy persons are the backbone of a nation. The entire development of a nation depends on them. But unhealthy persons are physically and mentally weak. They are always confined to bed. So, the development of a nation depends on healthy people.

Human health can be improved by having proper balanced diet, providing good facilities like hospitals, doctors, health posts, primary health centre. Living in a clean and healthy environment, taking timely rest, drinking pure water, doing regular exercises are essential for good health. Also government hospitals should be well equipped and service oriented. Medical equipments and medicines must be available when requires.

Education

Education is one of the most important factors for the development of a nation. It plays a vital role to make people conscious. Now it is declared as the foremost factor of human beings and as necessary as food, clothes and shelter.

It leads a man from darkness to light. It gives us knowledge and makes able to find what is right and what is wrong. No doubt, without education man can be no better than an animal.  The importance of education is not only for an individual but it is equally important for the development of a nation as well. It provides required manpower like doctors, administrators, politicians, engineers and so on that can play important roles to uplift the nation’s status.

Because of education, everybody can do better in his or her concerned area. By applying new and scientific methods in agriculture, farmers can grow more crops, engineers can implement new technology, doctors can cure sick people. That’s how the role of education is really in every walk of life. So, in this generation to have bright future, quality education is the most.
